You might be reading the term “website keywords” and already planning to shut it out of your mind, but stay a while and read on. Ideally, you want it relevant and at least somewhat competitive too – i.e., there are enough searches every month (or week) so people will find you when they type in these words and phrases, however, it can’t just be anyone who uses them as this makes it way too easy to outrank!

They help search engines to know what your content is all about and help to connect that content with your intended audience. Afterward, narrow it down to just a few of them based on search volume and other factors. Finally, spend time experimenting with keyword placement throughout your site so they appear in key locations – like title tags or headers – but aren’t overdone while also being included within the content itself!
How do I know which keywords to use?
For this one, you’ll need to put yourself in your potential customer’s shoes. What would they type into Google when looking for a product or service you offer? Think about the words or phrases they would use when searching for something that solves their problem. When you know what words they’re using, it’s a lot easier to come up with relevant and specific keywords.

Remember: The goal of creating key phrases isn’t just to fill space but rather to provide valuable insight into what your audience wants from your service! It should help them efficiently solve their problem, not distract them by trying too hard. How many keywords do you need?
This can depend on what you’re providing to your customers or clients, and the size of your website. Instead, weave SEO key phrases throughout longer-form pieces (i.e., blog posts).
How do I track keywords/rankings?
There are many helpful rank-checking tools on the market like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz Pro, and Serpfox. Just pick one (or all of them!) and use it to track your rankings over time. This will give you insight into how effective your SEO efforts are!
A great way to gauge this is by filtering through keywords that have the highest number of impressions but the lowest number of clicks; there might be something wrong with these particular search terms, or maybe they’re not relevant enough for people to make a purchase. Use keyword tracking tools like SEMrush along with Google Analytics so you can see what’s working well on each page while figuring out which ones should be further optimised!
What else should I know?
Be sure that whatever words you choose work in harmony with the rest of your content rather than trying too hard to force SEO keywords within your writing. The easier it is for visitors to understand what you’re talking about, the better chances you have of getting them to stay on your site and reading everything that’s there!
