Best Medical Practice Website Design Agencies in Australia: 7 Compared

Last updated:

The best medical practice website design agencies in Australia in 2026 are Titan Blue Australia (Gold Coast, for practices that want a WordPress site built to be found in Google and AI answers), Five by Five (Gold Coast, with a dedicated GP website page), Design Clinic (Brisbane, a medical-only studio), Practice Boost (Sydney, GP, specialist and allied health work), MindSite (Sydney, accessibility and compliance-minded clinic sites), Online Medical (Brisbane, healthcare-only websites and IT) and Pracxcel (Melbourne, healthcare marketing with WordPress builds). The right pick depends on whether your biggest gap is design, booking, local search or AI visibility.

We are on this list, and we put ourselves first. We say that up front so you can read the rest with it in mind. Every other agency below was chosen because its own website shows a dedicated medical or healthcare website offer, and every claim about them comes from their own pages, which we opened and read on 23 October 2026. We have left out pricing for every agency, including ourselves: quotes depend on scope, and a number in a blog post ages badly.

Key Takeaways

  • Seven agencies with a visible medical or healthcare website offer made the list, two of them based on the Gold Coast and two in Brisbane.
  • All 7 pages we checked loaded and had a tap-to-call link, but only 5 of 7 had exactly one H1 heading in the raw HTML.
  • 6 of 7 carried some structured data, and 4 of 7 published question and answer markup that matched a visible FAQ.
  • Ask every agency to show a live clinic site it built, and how your doctors, services, hours and booking link will appear as readable text, not only inside a widget.
  • Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, so the best agency is the one that gets the fundamentals right and can prove it.

How Did We Choose and Compare These Medical Practice Website Agencies?

We ran three live web searches on 23 October 2026 for medical practice website design in Australia, GP clinic website design and healthcare web design case studies. That is a live web search index, one day, three queries. It is a list of pages that were indexed, not a ranking of quality, and position in a result list is not merit.

From those results we shortlisted twelve agency pages. We then fetched each page with a normal browser user agent and kept the seven where the agency’s own site shows a dedicated medical or healthcare offer and a named clinic or specialist client. We excluded pages that were offline, thin enough to be a single paragraph, or that read as template copy for another industry.

For each agency we recorded what its page says in its own words, then ran a simple raw-HTML check on the page: how many H1 headings, how many tap-to-call links, how many structured data blocks, and whether question and answer markup was present. We have not rated design quality, because a screenshot is not an audit, and we have not named clients we could not verify on the page.

Which Medical Practice Website Agencies Made the List? Quick Comparison

Agency Based Best for Proof on its page Platform
Titan Blue Australia Broadbeach, Gold Coast Practices that want search, AI visibility and ads from one team Medical practice website design guide with a published audit of seven Gold Coast clinic homepages WordPress
Five by Five Gold Coast Clinics wanting an established agency with a GP page and local project examples Says it has “delivered over 3,000 websites”; GP projects include GastroMed Brisbane and Family Clinics Australia Not stated on the page we read
Design Clinic Brisbane Surgeons, specialists and groups wanting a medical-only studio Names Holdsworth House Medical, with a consistent design across several practice sites Not stated on the page we read
Practice Boost Maroubra, Sydney GPs, specialists and allied health wanting a case-study led build Says “100+ websites designed”; GP case study East Brunswick Medical Centre Not stated on the page we read
MindSite Sydney Clinics that want accessibility and compliance written into the brief A dedicated medical page with an AHPRA question answered in plain language Not stated on the page we read
Online Medical Fortitude Valley, Brisbane Surgeons and dentists wanting websites plus IT support from one provider Says “over 15 years of experience and over 250 websites developed” Not stated on the page we read
Pracxcel Melbourne Multi-location clinics wanting WordPress plus healthcare marketing A visible FAQ and a stated WCAG 2.1 AA build standard WordPress

Where the platform is “not stated”, the page we read did not say, and we did not guess from page source. Ask the agency directly, because the platform decides who can edit your content in two years’ time.

1. Titan Blue Australia

Titan Blue is a Broadbeach digital agency founded in 2001 by Richie and Angela Zengoski. We build WordPress websites and run SEO, answer engine optimisation (AEO), Google Ads and Meta Ads under one roof, which is the main reason a clinic would pick us over a medical-only specialist.

Where it fits best

We suit practices that treat the website as the centre of patient acquisition rather than a brochure. If you want one team to build the site, write the service pages, set up structured data, run local search and manage Google Ads and Meta Ads, that is what we do every day. See our web design service and business website design pages for the detail.

What stands out

Our difference is that we build for AI search from the first wireframe. Any agency can design a beautiful medical website. We build medical practice websites that AI engines can find, understand and recommend: doctors, services and opening hours published as text, the clinic described as a medical business in structured data, one clear heading per page, and details that match your Google Business Profile word for word. Our AEO web design guide explains the approach.

We also publish our homework. Our medical practice website design guide includes an audit of seven Gold Coast clinic homepages, and we hold 5.0 stars from 60+ Google reviews, listed with names and dates on our reviews page.

The trade-off

We are a full-service agency, not a medical-only shop. If you want a specialist with a library of clinic layouts, or someone to configure one specific practice-management booking system inside a fixed package, a specialist on this list may be a faster fit. We also do not publish package prices for websites, because a solo GP and a five-clinic group are different projects. We scope it after a conversation.

2. Five by Five

Five by Five is a Gold Coast agency that builds websites for businesses across Australia. Its GP page says “we’ve delivered over 3,000 websites”, many for “professional service businesses that rely on credibility and care”.

Where it fits best

Practices that want an established agency with a dedicated GP page and a spread of healthcare projects to look at. The page showcases completed GP and healthcare projects, among them GastroMed Brisbane, Brisbane General and Obesity Surgery, Dr Shereen Lim and Family Clinics Australia.

What stands out

  • A dedicated GP page with a single H1, three tap-to-call links and four structured data blocks in the raw HTML.
  • A page title that leads with the offer and a reviews claim, which is how many patients will see it in search results.
  • Project examples that span GPs, specialists and a naturopath, which helps if your clinic is not a standard general practice.

The trade-off

The structured data we found on the page described the agency and its reviews rather than a question and answer set, and we did not find a visible FAQ on the page. Ask how your doctors, services and booking link will be marked up, because the headline offer is design and conversion.

3. Design Clinic

Design Clinic is a Brisbane studio that builds websites and brands for health professionals. Its homepage says it builds sites “tailored specifically for GPs, surgeons, specialists, and other health professionals”.

Where it fits best

Surgeons, specialists and medical groups that want a studio which only does healthcare. Its Holdsworth House Medical case study describes a group with practices across Sydney and Brisbane and says “a consistent design was used across all sites”, with each practice keeping its own brand colours. The studio also says “we are based in Brisbane”.

What stands out

  • Several client testimonials from health professionals on the homepage itself.
  • A multi-site example, which is the hardest brief in medical web design to get right.
  • A clear pitch built around compliance, trust and a smooth patient experience.

The trade-off

On the homepage we read, the raw HTML had two H1 headings, one tap-to-call link and no structured data blocks. The homepage is short and design-led, so ask to see how service pages, doctor profiles and hours are written for search and for AI answers before you sign.

4. Practice Boost

Practice Boost is a Sydney agency with a Maroubra address on its contact details. Its medical page says “100+ websites designed” and groups its audience into local practices, specialists, cosmetic clinics and telehealth.

Where it fits best

GP medical centres, specialists and allied health clinics that want a team used to the whole healthcare mix. Its case studies include East Brunswick Medical Centre, a general practice in Melbourne, covering web and marketing work.

What stands out

  • A long list of who it helps, from GP medical centres to psychologists, physiotherapists and fertility clinics.
  • A visible FAQ section with the heading “Frequently Asked Questions”.
  • Feature promises that match what patients ask for: online booking, patient forms and chat.

The trade-off

The page had three H1 headings in the raw HTML and one structured data block describing the business. The FAQ is visible to readers, but we did not find matching question and answer markup. Ask which of those features are included in a standard build, and which need extra scope.

5. MindSite

MindSite is a Sydney agency with a dedicated medical website page. It describes sites for “GPs, specialists and multi disciplinary clinics with clear patient pathways”.

Where it fits best

Clinics that want accessibility and compliance discussed openly during scoping. The page lists accessibility, bookings and integrations, SEO for doctors, and privacy and secure enquiries as separate sections, and says it uses “WCAG aligned interactions”.

What stands out

  • A plain answer to the question every practice asks: will my website be compliant with AHPRA regulations? The page says it follows privacy, security and content best practice and does not provide legal advice, which is the honest answer.
  • One H1, two tap-to-call links and question and answer structured data in the raw HTML.
  • Trust signals such as qualifications and referral information are named as page elements.

The trade-off

The page lists many services in a long navigation, so it reads as a generalist agency with a medical page. Ask to speak to a clinic it has built for, and confirm who maintains the site after launch.

6. Online Medical

Online Medical is a Brisbane provider (its footer gives a Fortitude Valley address) offering websites, hosting, SEO and healthcare IT. Its homepage says “with over 15 years of experience and over 250 websites developed for surgeons, dentists, medical practices, and other healthcare professionals”.

Where it fits best

Practices that would like websites, hosting, domain registration and IT support from one provider. The services menu runs from medical content creation and brand identity to managed IT services and cybersecurity.

What stands out

  • Question and answer structured data in the raw HTML, alongside a visible FAQs section.
  • One H1 and three tap-to-call links on the homepage.
  • A named client roster shown as doctor and specialist profiles, with testimonials from practitioners.

The trade-off

The page is a broad healthcare provider homepage rather than a single GP landing page, so look closely at who will actually write and structure your service pages. Ask how the IT support and website work are separated in the written scope.

7. Pracxcel

Pracxcel is a Melbourne healthcare marketing agency (its footer lists a Little Collins Street address) with a dedicated healthcare web design page. It builds on WordPress and describes a three-step process from understanding patient flow to building for speed and compliance.

Where it fits best

Multi-location clinics and groups that want a documented process. The page lists secure forms and booking widgets, avoiding testimonials or unapproved health claims, and consent-based interactions for patient data as part of the build.

What stands out

  • A visible FAQ headed “Website FAQs: What Clinics Ask Most”, backed by question and answer structured data.
  • A stated accessibility standard: “We build to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, including alt text, colour contrast, and screen-reader compatibility”.
  • One H1 and two tap-to-call links, and a list of locations across Australia.

The trade-off

Pracxcel is first a marketing agency, so the website is one part of a wider growth offer. If you only want a website, ask how the build is scoped separately from the ongoing marketing retainers.

What Did the Agencies’ Own Medical Pages Show?

This is the proprietary part of the article. On 23 October 2026 we fetched each of the seven pages above with a browser user agent and counted what was in the raw HTML. These are counts from machine output on one page per agency. They are a snapshot, not a rating, and a missing marker is not proof of poor work on a client site.

Agency page H1 headings Tap-to-call links Structured data blocks Question and answer markup Visible FAQ heading
Titan Blue Australia (our guide) 1 1 3 Yes Yes
Five by Five 1 3 4 No No
Design Clinic 2 1 0 No No
Practice Boost 3 4 1 No Yes
MindSite 1 2 1 Yes No (questions shown on page)
Online Medical 1 3 2 Yes Yes
Pracxcel 1 2 1 Yes Yes
  • One H1: 5 of 7 pages (Titan Blue, Five by Five, MindSite, Online Medical, Pracxcel). Design Clinic had two and Practice Boost three.
  • A tap-to-call link: 7 of 7. This is table stakes for a patient on a phone.
  • Any structured data: 6 of 7. Design Clinic had none in the HTML we fetched.
  • Question and answer markup: 4 of 7. Practice Boost showed a visible FAQ without matching markup.

Two cautions. First, a heading count of two or three is usually a theme or page builder quirk, and it does not stop a page ranking, but it does make the page harder for a machine to summarise. Second, Google retired FAQ rich results in May 2026, so we do not treat question and answer markup as a way to win a special search result. We count it because it is a clean, machine-readable statement of the questions a page answers, which is the same discipline that makes content easy to quote.

How Should a Medical Practice Choose a Website Design Agency?

Choose the agency that can show a live clinic site it built, explain every page it will create, and put your doctors, services and hours into readable text. Use the questions below in every first call, and compare the answers rather than the mockups.

Question to ask Why it matters A good answer sounds like
Can I see two live clinic sites you built? Proof beats a portfolio screenshot Two URLs, and permission to speak to the practice manager
Who writes and structures the doctor and service pages? Thin pages are the biggest gap on clinic sites A named content process with your clinical review built in
How will opening hours, address and phone appear? Patients and AI engines both quote these Plain text on the page, matching your Google Business Profile
Which booking system do you connect to? Booking is the conversion A named system and a link on every key page, with the page still readable if the widget fails
What structured data will you add? It describes the clinic to machines A written list, such as a medical business type, practitioners and a FAQ where one exists
Who owns the site, domain and hosting? You should not be locked in You, with logins handed over at launch
How do you handle health advertising rules? Regulated services carry advertising obligations A review step and a clear statement that you remain responsible for sign-off

If an agency cannot answer the second and fifth questions in plain language, keep looking. Those two are where most clinic websites quietly underperform.

Should a Medical Practice Hire a Medical Specialist or a Full-Service Agency?

A medical-only specialist understands practice-management systems, patient forms and health content rules. A full-service agency adds local search, AI visibility and advertising under one team. If getting found is your main problem, a full-service agency is usually the better starting point. If converting visitors is the problem, a specialist may help more.

  • Choose a specialist if you run a single clinic, already rank locally and mainly need a modern, trustworthy site with booking connected.
  • Choose a full-service agency if you also need Google Ads for new patients, Google Business Profile management and search work, or if you run several locations in different suburbs such as Broadbeach, Southport, Robina and Burleigh Heads.
  • Ask both groups the same seven questions above, and compare how specific the answers are.

How Does AI Search Change What a Medical Practice Should Ask For?

AI search does not change the brief as much as it raises the bar on clarity. Google’s documentation on AI features in Search says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimisations necessary, and that the best practices for SEO remain relevant. In practice, that means the pages must be crawlable, indexable, accurate and genuinely helpful. Google’s guidance on people-first content is the standard to hold an agency to.

For a clinic, that translates into five things to write into the scope:

  1. Answer-first service pages. Each page opens with a plain answer to the patient’s question, such as who the service is for, where it is offered and how to book.
  2. Details as text. Doctors, qualifications, hours, address and phone appear as readable text, not only inside an image or booking widget.
  3. Consistent facts. The name, address, phone and hours match your Google Business Profile exactly. Mismatches are an easy way to confuse both patients and machines.
  4. Structured data that matches the page. Google’s local business structured data guidance and the schema.org MedicalClinic type are the references. Our schema markup guide explains the build-time view.
  5. A fast, stable page. The Core Web Vitals measures are the practical yardstick for speed and layout stability on a phone in a waiting room.

This is where we think the real gap is between agencies. Any agency can design a beautiful medical website. The question is whether an AI engine such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude or Gemini can find the clinic, understand what it offers and recommend it for a local query. That is the work behind our answer engine optimisation service and the AEO web design approach.

What Should Any Medical Practice Website Include, Whoever Builds It?

Whoever builds it, a medical practice website should include these items. Our full checklist is in the companion medical practice website design guide.

  • A homepage that states the clinic name, suburb, phone number, opening hours and a booking link in the first screen.
  • A page for each doctor with qualifications, languages spoken and which services they provide.
  • A page for each service or condition area, written by or reviewed by a clinician.
  • Clear information on how to book, what to bring and how after-hours care works.
  • A privacy statement and a plain explanation of how enquiry forms handle health information. The OAIC publishes guidance for health service providers that your agency and your practice manager should both read.
  • Accessibility built in, including readable contrast, alt text and keyboard-friendly navigation.
  • Reviews from real patients, handled within the advertising rules that apply to your profession.
  • A care plan after launch for updates, security and backups. Our website care plans cover that for WordPress sites.

What Are the Red Flags When Hiring a Medical Website Agency?

The red flags are mostly about proof and ownership. Treat any of the following as a reason to slow down.

  • No live clinic site to look at, only mockups or stock screenshots.
  • Doctors, hours and services locked inside images, sliders or a booking iframe.
  • Vague answers on who owns the domain, hosting and content.
  • Promises about rankings or AI citations. Nobody controls those, and Google does not offer a switch for them.
  • A template copied from another industry, with the wrong headings or service names left in.
  • No plan for patient testimonials, claims or before-and-after content within the advertising rules for regulated health services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the best medical practice website design agency in Australia?

There is no single best agency for every practice. Titan Blue Australia suits clinics that want a WordPress site built for Google and AI search alongside ads. Five by Five and Practice Boost suit practices that want to see a track record of healthcare projects. Design Clinic suits specialists and groups that want a medical-only studio, and MindSite and Pracxcel suit clinics that want accessibility and compliance discussed in the scope.

How do I choose between a medical specialist and a general web design agency?

A specialist understands practice-management systems, patient forms and health content rules. A general or full-service agency adds local search, AI visibility and advertising. If getting found is your main problem, start with a full-service agency. If converting visitors is the problem, a specialist may help more.

Can a medical website connect to HotDoc, HealthEngine or Cliniko?

Usually yes, because most booking tools offer an embed or a link. Ask the agency to name the system, to show it live on a clinic it built, and to keep services, doctors and hours readable as plain text around the booking widget.

Does Google AI Overviews need special markup for a clinic website?

No. Google’s own documentation says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Pages need to be indexed, accurate and helpful. Structured data that matches the visible page is still a sensible way to describe the clinic clearly.

How do I check whether an agency builds sites that AI engines can read?

Open the agency’s own pages and the live clinic sites it built. Check for one clear heading per page, a tap-to-call link, a visible FAQ, hours as text and structured data describing the business. Ask what markup it will add to your site and request it in the written scope.

How long does a medical practice website take to build?

It depends on the number of clinics, doctors, services and integrations. A single-site practice is quicker than a multi-clinic group with several booking paths. Ask each agency for a written timeline after it has scoped your content, clinical review and booking set-up.

Does Titan Blue build medical practice websites outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. Titan Blue is based in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and builds WordPress websites for practices across Australia, with AEO, SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads available from the same team.
