What we cover
We write about how Australians find businesses online: search engine optimisation, answer engine optimisation (AEO), generative engine optimisation (GEO), web design, Google Ads, Meta Ads and social media. AI Search News is our national news section. It publishes every Saturday and Sunday and reports changes to Google Search, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Bing, and what each change means for Australian businesses.
Sourcing standards
- Primary sources first. News articles are built on the original announcement, documentation or data release from the company or regulator involved, and link to it.
- No unverified statistics. We do not republish figures we cannot trace to a primary source. Where we cannot verify a number, we describe the point without it.
- Our own testing is labelled. When we run our own tests (for example asking Google AI Mode a buying question in several Australian cities), we say which tool we used, how many queries we ran and on what date, so readers can judge the sample for themselves.
- Clear separation of news and opinion. Reporting of what happened comes first. Our analysis of what it means for Australian businesses is clearly marked in its own sections.
How articles are produced
We use AI tools to help monitor announcements, research sources and draft articles. Every article must meet the sourcing standards above, link to its primary sources, and carry a publish date and a last updated date. We do not publish AI-generated quotes or attribute statements to people who did not make them.
Independence
Titan Blue is an agency that sells SEO, AEO, web design and advertising services, and our articles sometimes link to those services. We are not paid by Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Perplexity or any other platform we report on, and we do not accept payment for coverage.
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrections of fact are made to the article as soon as we confirm them, and a note at the end of the article explains what changed and when. Minor edits (spelling, broken links) are made without a note. To report an error or send a news tip, contact us.
